Love is in the air

// Synopsis: Season 2 picks up after the events of the first Honey and Clover. Half of the circle of friends have moved on since graduation. As life goes on for this group they struggle to keep in touch as they continue to wrestle with purpose, friendship and love. But a tragedy becomes a watershed moment that helps define each of their futures.

// Review: Honey and Clover is the quientessential slice of life anime. Again in this season there is no major plot progression, resolution or need for a denouement. It's just life very similar to what you've experienced yourself: the same issues, the same problems, and you've probably seen bits of each of these characters in your own friends.

/ They brought on a new director for this one, and he decided to focus more on the romantic relationships introduced in the first Honey and Clover. The same style and comedy from the original are intact; there is just less of it. Instead each couple are given a few episodes to work out their drama.

/ In this installment we get to see the mystery behind the goofy Morita's back story. Haru, who was basically a shy kewpie doll is finally given depth to her character and becomes to center of another love triangle. Probably the worse part of it is that after becoming attached to all of the characters, there's not more.

// Wrap up: For a series that is targeting females, Honey and Clover 2 does even more with its emphasis on the romantic storylines. But for those of you who fell in love with the first season, you should not pass this one up.
