// The skinny: The mob has outsourced their Batman problem to Joker who causes mass chaos in Gotham City. The Caped Crusader along with D.A. Harvey Dent work together to fight this rising menace.

// Review: I don't know what I can say about this movie that the free market or hordes of fawning critics haven't already said. It's awesome, but you already knew that. It's better than the first, which has probably been debated ad nauseum by basement dwelling fanboys.

/ I'm going to make this short because there is really nothing unique I can add that hasn't been said hundreds of times already. Heath Ledger is fantastic. It's hard to believe this is the same actor who was in 10 Things I Hate About You. As much as I love Christian Bale, I think the Joker stole every scene they were together. I thought Aaron Eckhart was serviceable but I would've been really interested if Matt Damon accepted the role of Harvey Dent.

/ Was it a perfect movie? God no. It had many of the confounding logic problems that Iron Man had. But ultimately it's a comic book movie and not Citizen Kane so who cares? I thought it was too long and needed to be 20 minutes shorter. With a returning cast of big names there was a lot of screen time to juggle. I thought the subplot of the whistleblowing accountant could've totally be circumvented with minor re-writes. But these nitpicks are like complaining that too many guys stare at my hot girlfriend.

// Wrap up: Movies that make a ton of cash usually aren't that good (see: Hancock) and conversely critically acclaimed movies no one watches. Dark Knight is the perfect blend to which I will gladly hand over the price of admission more than once.
