// The skinny: All that remains of a globally polluted Earth is a lone robot who goes about his daily routine of garbage clean up. When an advanced probe one day appears Wall-E decides that he now has a new purpose.

// Review: Surprisingly there wasn't much mass market fanfare to promote this Disney/Pixar film. But if kiddie-drek like Madagascar is any indication, all you need to do is animate something and just open up the cash register. Thankfully Wall-E is a fantastic movie that's not only for the shorties.

/ Earth has been abandoned after turning into an inhospitable trash heap. All that is left is one barely functioning waste disposal robot and his cockroach companion. Everyday he dutifully makes his stacks of garbage cubes and picks up odd nicknacks for his personal collection. It's all he knows until a sleek white Mac-esque female probe suddenly shows up.

/ The adorable Wall-E and colorful characters will wrangle in all of the families. But its themes of wanton consumerism and lazy American culture will (without being preachy) bring adults to the theaters especially in this new Green conscious minded culture.

/ The animation is spectacular from the barren wasteland vistas to the hyper-detailed close up shots. It was also interesting the use of the integration of live action. I don't know if I'm a fan of it, but it was definitely different. I was particularly impressed with how much was communicated with so little dialogue.

// Wrap up: If you feel a little embarrassed about watching kid flicks, grab a niece or nephew and don't miss this highly charming movie.
